HashWriter

Struct HashWriter

Source
pub struct HashWriter<'a, H: DeterministicHasher + ?Sized> { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A Writer that sinks bytes directly into a [DeterministicHasher] instead of a buffer.

This allows encoding values directly to a hash without intermediate buffer allocation.

Implementations§

Source§

impl<'a, H: DeterministicHasher + ?Sized> HashWriter<'a, H>

Source

pub fn new(hasher: &'a mut H) -> Self

Creates a new HashWriter that writes to the given hasher.

Trait Implementations§

Source§

impl<H: DeterministicHasher + ?Sized> Writer for HashWriter<'_, H>

Source§

fn write(&mut self, bytes: &[u8]) -> Result<(), EncodeError>

Write bytes to the underlying writer. Exactly bytes.len() bytes must be written, or else an error should be returned.
